Kyra Layne Rolando

Hayden resident, Kyra Layne Rolando, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015, in Hayden, Colorado. She was 22.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2015, at the Hayden Congregational Church. Interment will follow at the Hayden Cemetery. A celebration of Kyra’s life will be held at the Exhibit Hall in Hayden following services.
Kyra Layne Rolando was born the daughter of Casey A. and Sunny M. (Booco) Rolando on April 9, 1993 in Craig, Colorado. She spent her childhood and attended public schools in Hayden. Kyra graduated with the Hayden High School class of 2011. Growing up, Kyra always dreamed of becoming a registered nurse. After high school, Kyra began taking courses at Mesa State College in Grand Junction, and later, CNCC in Craig. During that time, she found employment as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at Larchwood, The Memorial Hospital, Yampa Valley Medical Center, and most recently at Haven Assisted Living. Caring for other people was her passion.
Kyra was full of life. She loved to go shopping and going on camping and fishing trips. Above all, she loved to hang out with her family and friends.
Kyra is survived by her parents, Casey & Sunny Rolando of Hayden; one sister, Kelsey (Zachary) Barnes of Hayden; her maternal grandparents: Kristina (Sean) Graham-Webb of Williamsburg, CO, Danny (Sandy) Veatch of Penrose, CO, and Allen Booco (Heather Martin) of Hayden; and her great-grandmother, Ilda Booco of Hayden. She is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Kyra was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Dewayne & Rhonda Rolando; her paternal great-grandparents, Orville & Marguerite Rolando and Etta Teal; and her maternal GG Grant.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kyra’s memory to the Kyra Rolando Memorial Fund at the Mountain Valley Bank in Hayden.
