Nana Beth Mead, 71, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at her residence following a short illness. A celebration of Nana's life will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Friday, January 30, 2015, at their home, 1226 Aspen Avenue in Craig. Nana Beth Mead was born April 3, 1943 in Waco, Texas to her parents Roy and Eugenia Yancey. At the age of four her family moved to Galveston, Texas where she grew up and graduated from Ball High School. She spent the first part of her life working in the banking business. Later she was employed by ECC, an environmental clean-up company. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy Albert and Eugenia Yancey, her brother John Albert Yancey of Galveston, Texas and her father-in-law Carl J. Mead of Ft. Collins, Colorado. She is survived by her husband and the love of her life Carl Mead who she met in Galveston. Nana Beth and Carl were married on October 31, 1990 and were very happy living in various parts of the country then moving to Craig, Colorado to be with his family. She is also survived by two sisters, Shirley Ruth Warren of LaMarque, TX, her three children, David Warren, Janice Neumann and Cindy Stidham. Her other sister, Barbara Jean Bunge and husband John of Soldotna, Alaska where she traveled every summer to fish the Kenai River, two brothers-in-law Ronald A. Mead and wife Amy of Craig and Tom E. Mead, mother-in-law Betty Mead, both of Ft. Collins, sister-in-law, Patricia A. Baungardt and husband Kerry of Ft. Collins, Colorado and several nieces and nephews. Nana Beth was a God Mother to her niece Lauren Shear of Austin, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Nana's memory to the Moffat County Cancer Society in care of Grant Mortuary.
