Dorothy A. Stark

Dorothy A. Stark was born on November 23, 1923, in Littleton, Colorado, the daughter of Charles and Sadie (Bowers) Harcourt. She was raised and attended school in Littleton. Dorothy married Robert C. Stark Sr. on August 25, 1942, in Longmont, CO. They made their home in various places during Bob's service in the US Navy and then in Littleton and Castle Rock where they raised five children until moving to Craig in 1976. Dorothy was a homemaker and at one time drove a school bus and also a bus for a river rafting company. She enjoyed horses and in later years playing bingo.
She died on Sunday, August 18, 2013, at The Sandrock Ridge Care Center. She was 89. She is survived by her daugh¬ter Patricia (Robert) Wells, of Seminole, OK; her sons Arthur (Sharon) Stark of Hayden, CO, Robert (Janice) Stark, of Seminole, OK, Kenneth Stark of Seminole, OK and Richard (Karen) Stark of Grants Pass, OR; nineteen grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren; her sisters Bonnie Mizer and Juanita Durell of Georgia and her brother Charles Harcourt of Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Betty Cookson, her brother Dee Harcourt and her husband Robert C. Stark Sr. Funeral services were held on Friday, August 23, 2013, at The Grant Mortuary Chapel with Bill Ditges officiating. Interment followed in the Craig Cemetery.
