Ralph Phillip Myers

Longtime Delta County resident Ralph Phillip Myers passed away peacefully Sept. 23, 2012, at his son's residence in Delta. He was 93.
Upon Ralph's request, no services will be held.
Ralph Phillip Myers was born to Joseph and Marie (Greer) Myers on April 5, 1919, in Denver. He spent his childhood and attended schools in Denver and Durango.
Ralph honorably served his country with the United States Army during World War II.
On Dec. 6, 1947, Ralph married the love of his life, Frances Emma Lawton, in Raton, N.M.
The Myers' moved to Delta in 1959 coming from Idaho Springs. Ralph and Frances celebrated over 62 years of marriage together before Frances passed away Jan. 30, 2010.
Ralph, a retired line truck driver, enjoyed rockwork, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege to love and know him.
Ralph is survived by his two sons and their wives, Phil and Mary Alice Myers, of Whitewater, and Ron and Susan Myers, of Delta; and one sister, Katie Cannady, of Dumont. Ralph is further survived by five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances Myers; two sisters; and one brother.
The family suggests any memorial contributions be made in Ralph's memory to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado, P. O. Box 24, Delta, CO, 81416.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
