David Dale Farr

David Dale Farr died Friday, May 18, 2012, at his home in Germantown, Md.
He was 59.
David was born to Gene G. and F. Jean Farr on Oct. 25, 1952, in Craig.
He lived with his parents in Craig, Baggs, Wyo., and Rawlins, Wyo., before they moved to Maryland in 1963. His parents moved back to Palisade in 1986, but David stayed in Maryland. He was an apartment manager as well as the maintenance person for the apartments he managed. He married Donna Sears in 1974 and they had two children, Gene William and Vanesa Leigh. David and Donna divorced and a few years later he married Janet Bushong.
David enjoyed fixing things and could fix anything from plumbing to electricity to cars and all kinds of home repair. He enjoyed learning and performing magic. He put on a lot of magic shows for his children.
David also enjoyed crafts. He made stained glass, designed the rooms of a dollhouse including a hidden room in the dollhouse attic. He also made Halloween costumes for his children.
He loved animals and had birds, an iguana, dogs and cats.
He loved his family which included his children, stepchildren, grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gene G. Farr.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; son Gene William Farr, of Glen Burnie, Md.; grandchildren Natna, Gene Galen and Geremiah Gene; daughter Vanesa Leigh Coffman, of Cape Coral, Fla.; grandchildren Trinity and Danica; mother F. Jean Farr, of Palisade; sister Carleen Hawkensen, of Palisade; sister Jill Peed, of Palisade; and nephews Casey Peed, of Palisade, and Shawn, Croix and Tyler Peed, of Cortez.
A memorial service is scheduled for 5 p.m. July 20, 2012, at Craig Cemetery.
