Barbara Delphine Krause

Barbara Delphine Krause, of Trinidad, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 27, 2012, at Park View Medical Center in Pueblo after struggling with colon cancer. She was 69.
She was born on Sept. 3, 1942, in Detroit to Sam and Alma Jean (Oglesby) Chirillo.
She married Robert Krause on March 18, 1977, in Ottawa, Kan.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Krause, son Eric Bard and wife Nancy of Pagosa Springs, daughter Lori Austin and husband Warren of Eldorado, Okla., Elizabeth Ryhkus and husband Jim of Aurora, John Krause and wife Rebecca of Queen Creek, Ariz., Sarah Hagan and husband Scott of Thornton, and grandchildren Samuel Bard, Nathan Bard, Benjamin Bard, Willow Krause, Corey Hagan, Seth Hagan, Rees Hagan and Lauren Hagan.
She is also survived by brother Gordon Keith (Linda) Chirillo of Miami, Okla., sister Carol Paris of Queen Creek, sister Margaret (Glen) Smith of Flat Rock, Mich., brother Donald Franklin (Samantha) Chirillo, of Moberly, Mo., sister Marie Cassidy of Moberly, Mo., numerous nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, uncle Tom Parr, cousin Tom Parr, Jr., uncle Afton (Marlene) Oglesby, uncle Jack (Barbara) Oglesby, uncle Albert Chirillo, special friend Frances Purswell-Montoya, numerous children who have adopted her as their "other mother," and a host of special friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Chirillo, her mother, Alma Jean (Oglesby) Chirillo, her favorite aunt, Jewell (Oglesby) Parr, her aunt, Virginia Chirillo, her step-father, Damon Burke, her sons, Kevin Bard and Darren Krause, her grandson, Christian Hagan, her mother-in-law, Agnes Krause, and her brothers-in-law, Ralph Krause, Don Hoots and Larry Paris.
A memorial service will be Saturday, June 9, 2012, at 2 p.m. at New Hope Ministries of Trinidad (in the historic Wagon Wheel) at 38096 Highway 160.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to the New Hope Ministries of Trinidad Building Fund, 33127 Elk Park Road, Trinidad, Co, 81082.
