Gary married Deborah Brookshire in October 1979. The couple had two children, Graham and Paige. Gary was an accomplished guitar player and played in several bands over the years. He enjoyed archery hunting and harvested several trophy elk and antelope. He was also an avid fly-fisherman and spent the long Craig winters tying new fly patterns for the summer season. The Roberts family spent many vacations camping in the national parks and whitewater rafting. Gary especially enjoyed his role as grandpa and spending time with his grandchildren. Gary was preceded in death by his father in 1977 and his mother in 2004. He is survived by his wife, Deborah; son Graham; daughter-in-law Tiffani; granddaughter Marie; and grandson William, all of Craig; and daughter Paige, of Steamboat Springs.
