Marian Katherine Cline

Marian Katherine Cline died Monday, April 2, 2012, at Sandrock Ridge Care & Rehab in Craig.
She was 87.
Marian was born Jan. 4, 1925, in Walsenburg. She was raised in Walsenburg and Cripple Creek, and attended school in Cripple Creek.
She married Melvin "Pete" Cline on March 15, 1947. They had two children: Sharon Ann and Edward Jacob.
Her husband, Melvin, was a miner and his trade took them to various places during their marriage. While living in Green River, Utah, Marian became involved with the Order of the Eastern Star and became a Worthy Matron.
She enjoyed the challenges of the Order. They also owned and operated the Robbers Roost Motel in Green River.
Marian enjoyed trap shooting, fishing and hunting in her earlier years, and later on playing bingo and collecting teddy bears.
Marian is survived by her daughter, Sharon Ann (Dee) Allred, of Craig; granddaughters Jessica (Robert) Harrison, of Las Vegas, and Ashley (Sam) St. Leger, of Seattle; grandson Jason (Lisa) Cline, of Las Vegas; daughter-in-law Linda Cline, of Las Vegas; and great-granddaughter Kayla Harrison, of Las Vegas.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Melvin, and son Edward Jacob Cline.
No services will take place at her request.
