Chris LeFevre, of Delta, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at his residence in Delta. He was 39.
A memorial service honoring Chris's life will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel, 682 1725 Road, in Delta.
Chris was born April 3, 1972, in Salt Lake City. He spent his childhood in Craig, and graduated from Moffat County High School with the Class of 1990.
Chris furthered his education at Mesa State, earning a degree in 1996 as a radiological technician.
In 1996, Chris married Jennifer Donaldson. He moved to South Fork, and they had one child, Makenzie LeFevre.
Chris started his career at Rio Grande Hospital, where he became director of radiology services. Chris and Jennifer later divorced.
In 2007, Chris moved to Delta, where he lived with his wife, Michele Hammel, and her two children, Micaela and Jace. Chris was most recently employed with Delta County Memorial Hospital as a radiology technician.
Chris is survived by his wife, Michele Hammel; daughter Makenzie LeFevre; father Bart (Jolene) Bickmore; mother Debra LeFevre; brother Cory (Mandi) Bickmore; sisters Jaime (Jason) Bickmore-Theler, Lori Ann (Rob) Bickmore Cunningham, Danielle (Cody) Wagner, and Lauren LeFevre; grandmother Dorothy LeFevre; uncle David (Cheri) LeFevre; aunt Kathy (Rocky) Innes; stepchildren Micaela Alexander and Jace Helmick; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Chris had an admirable passion for living and sharing his life with others. He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved being in nature.
Fishing, camping, snowmobiling, sports, golfing, and traveling with friends and family were among his favorite things to do.
Chris was an extremely kind hearted person, who could always make you smile with his infectious warmth. He had many friends who loved him dearly. We will never forget the love and joy he brought into our lives.
Chris touched every corner of our lives, and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege to know and love him.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Thomas E. LeFevre and Reed Bickmore, and his grandmother Caroline Bickmore.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
