George William Baughman

George William Baughman was born Aug. 13, 1951, in Coos Bay, Ore., the son of Gerald R. and Carol (Youst) Baughman. George was raised and attended school in Coos Bay.
George was in the U.S. Army and served his country in the Vietnam War. He then returned to Coos Bay, where he worked with his family in their construction business.
He married Rohnda Morrill on Nov. 7, 1981, in North Bend, Ore. They became the parents of two daughters and made their home in North Bend until moving to Rangely in 1994. They moved to Craig in 2007.
After moving to Colorado, George owned and operated his own concrete sawing and drilling business.
George enjoyed his grandkids, his dog, flying model helicopters, camping, traveling, diving and snow skiing.
He died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Rohnda Baughman, of Craig; daughters Melissa (Scott) Dembowski, and Michelle (Howdy) Brown, of Rangely; grandchildren Kastyn Dembowski, Teagan Brown and Traker Dembowski; mother Carol Baughman, of Coos Bay, Ore.; sister Penny (Jim) Berrien, of Hillsboro, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of George’s life was Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, at Craig City Park with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4265, followed by a reception at American Legion Post 62.
