Lloydia Lois Wilson 1934 - 2012
Feb. 28, 2012, was a cloudy, downcast day.
Then, the clouds parted, the sun shone down and a beautiful spirit went to heaven, greeted with open arms by her husband, Charles Arnett; parents, Lloyd and Mary Lou Wilson; brother-in-law John Hillewaert; and grandson Kevin Zacheriah Arnett.
Lloydia Lois Wilson was born March 16, 1934, in Denver, the second child of Lloyd and Mary Lou. The family moved to Craig when she was young.
Lloydia lived in Craig the rest of her life.
She married Charles Arnett and raised three children. She loved fishing, cutting up deer and elk meat, “Days of Our Lives,” her dogs, and she was the Denver Broncos’ No. 1 fan.
She was a waitress for more than 50 years at various restaurants in Craig. She worked at the Golden Cavvy for 28 years.
She was known for her dangling earrings and great smile. She was everyone’s friend.
She leaves behind family who loves her deeply, including sister Mary Lou Hillewaert, of Craig; brother and sister-in-law Ron and Bonnie Wilson, of Craig; son Tom and Marchelle Arnett, of Superior; daughters Lori and Troy Goodson, of Clifton, and Vicki and JJ Plummer, of Fruita.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Chanda Arnett, of La Junta; Tino Arnett, of Idaho; Miyoko and Mariko Arnett, of Superior; Jeremiah Goodson, of Switzerland; Chance and Derrick Goodson, of Clifton; Levi Goodson, of Grand Junction; Trisha Davis, of West Virginia; and Colleen, Tiffany and Carrie O’Brien, of Fruita.
She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren: Hunter, Briley, Alexus, Charles, Nevaeh, Richard, Raven, Caden and Shyla.
In honor of Lloydia, dangling earrings and Broncos apparel was worn at her memorial service Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at The Journey at First Baptist Church in Craig. Leonard Browning officiated.
Lord, please give our precious loved one a thousand kisses on this day. Whisper softly these words we want to say: “We love and miss you each and every passing day.”
