Ed Case died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2012, in Denver, where he lived for several years.
Edward Everett Case, Jr., or Ed, was born Feb. 25, 1932, on a ranch near Craig, to parents Edwards “Everett,” Sr., and Lena Miller Case.
He attended school in Craig, Meeker, Kremmling and Rifle, graduating from high school in Rifle.
Ed had several occupations before being employed by Mercedes Benz. He also spent two years with the Peace Corps in Tunsia.
Ed raised four children: Mike, Susan (Jim), Janice (Robert) and Jill (Marc).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Lena Case; two infant sisters; sister Beverly Peyton; and sons Edward and Michael.
He is survived by his wife, Karen, of Denver; sisters Barbara (Curt) Helwick, of Casper, Wyo., and Phyllis (Frank), of Grand Junction; brothers Bill (Hope), of Salt Lake City, Jim (Maryl), of Collbran; daughters Susan and Janice, of California, and Jill, of Maryland; and several grandchildren.
Ed was cremated and his ashes were buried next to his infant son in Rifle, where memorial services took place Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012.
