Danny L. Prow

Danny L. Prow, 57, of Elk Mountain, Wyo., died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at Ivinson Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born Feb. 25, 1954, in Madisonville, Ky., to his parents Gene and Bonnie (Wyatt) Prow. He spent his childhood in Bisbee, Ariz. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the Airborne Rangers from 1971 until 1973.
On March 8, 1980, he married Debbie Laird in Douglas, Wyo. He worked in the mining industry for 27 years in Wyoming and Colorado.
He will be remembered as a special man, impacting many lives in the ranching and agriculture industry and was a member of the Wyoming Stock Growers Land Trust and a Mason.
He had a passion for nature as an avid outdoorsman. He loved to camp, hunt and fish. He had been working at the Elk Mountain ranch for the last eight years. He had a great sense of humor and was a wonderful father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend.
He was preceded in death by James and Jean Laird, Art Owens, Grandma and Grandpa Troy Preston, Joe Taylor, James Underwood and Kelly Wyatt.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie, of Elk Mountain; son Joshua, of Rawlins, Wyo.; daughter Rebekah, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; parents Bonnie and Gene Prow, of Hanna, Wyo.; siblings Donna Taylor, of Rawlins, Wyo.; Debbie Schasteen and her husband Oats Briggs, of Wright, Wyo.; Rodney Prow and his wife Sharie, of Rifle; Sherry Riley and her husband Frank, of Gillette, Wyo.; Timothy Prow and his wife Laura, of Durango; Jerry Laird and his wife Darlene, of Kalispell, Mont. Also surviving are 30 nieces and nephews and numerous extended family members.
Private family services have been held.
