Norma Loreen Harmon, of Craig, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011. She was 72.
Norma had been fighting cancer and lost her battle. She went peacefully in her sleep.
Norma was born at home Oct. 21, 1938, in Falls City, Neb. She grew up there as the oldest of 10 siblings. Norma got married at 15 and had four children. The marriage ended in divorce.
She worked as a waitress, cook and a telephone operator. She was a very good cook and had a great sense of humor. She could make you laugh on your worst day.
Although she had a rough life, she kept a positive attitude.
Norma met the man of her dreams Sept. 14, 1980, in Oregon.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband, H.D. Harmon; youngest son Thomas Roberts; her parents, of Falls City, Neb.; and siblings Barbera Guilliams, Alan Zimmerman, Patti Kryesjberg, Betty Cornell and Joe Zimmerman.
She is survived by her children, Cory Roberts, of Craig, Wayne Roberts, of Butte, Mont., and Susan Johns, of Craig; and siblings Albert Zimmerman, Dale Zimmerman, Irene Ealy and Nancy Willey.
Norma will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Upon her request, a memorial service will take place Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2012, in Oregon.
The family will bury their loved one’s ashes and those of her husband together on the day and place they met.
