Shirley M. Noland was born April 30, 1935, in Craig, to Urbin and Juanita Meineke.
She attended school in Orland, Calif., Hamilton, Wyo., and Craig.
On June 22, 1951, Shirley married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Noland in Aztec, N.M.
After they were married, Shirley and Bob lived in Fort Bragg, N.C., Sacramento, Calif., and then in Baggs, Wyo., where they first started ranching.
Shirley and Bob finally settled in Craig and made Craig their permanent home. It was in Craig that they set out to raise a family.
Shirley loved to sew and having a family the size of theirs, she got to do a lot of sewing. She also somehow found the time to do quilting as well.
However, one of the things she loved to do the most was go camping, and especially the Black Powder Rendezvous.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Urban and Juanita Meineke; sister Joy; brother Joe Meineke; and her dearly departed husband and love of her life, Robert (Bob) Noland.
She is survived by her brothers Bob, Jim and Jack Meineke; children Donna (Ed) Rettman, Bob (Dayle) Noland, Mike (Shaneen) Noland, Barbara (Dick) Murcray, Patrick (Lori) Noland, and Byron Noland, and a special son John (Kim) Pedroncelli, all of whom live in Craig, except Donna and her family, who live in Bouse, Ariz., and Byron, who now lives in Kansas; as well as 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
