Enriqueta Trujillo, a longtime Hayden resident, died Feb. 26, 2011, at The Sandrock Ridge Care Center. She was 89.
Enriqueta was born Dec. 1, 1921, in Cleveland, N.M., the daughter of Alexander and Avalina (Romero) Branch. She was raised and attended school in Cleveland.
Enriqueta married Leopoldo Trujillo on Sept. 4, 1943, in Cleveland. They made their home there and in Parshall until moving to Hayden in 1949. She was a housewife and enjoyed sewing and working in her garden.
She is survived by her daughter, Precilla (Mike) Isenbarger, of Hayden; her son Lee (Cathy) Trujillo, of Houston; her grandchildren Tana, Lori, Alyssa, Brandon, Shane, Missy, Justin and Katie; and her great-grandchildren Matthew, Aiden, Laynie, Brennan and Nikki.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; her son Larry; her sisters Amy Padilla and Nepha Branch; and her brothers Eloy “Lloyd” and Richard Branch.
A funeral is March 6 at The Hayden Congregational Church with Doug Zirkle officiating. Gretchen Hayes is the soloist accompanied by Theresa Stivers. Musical numbers are “I Can Only Imagine” and “You Raise Me Up.” The pallbearers are Greg and Gary Medvesk, Will and Sam Montieth, Brandon McDaniel and Tom Shockley. Interment will follow in the Hayden Cemetery.
