Mary Louise Burlington, 69, of Yampa, died Friday, March 25, 2011, in Aurora. She was born in Smith Center, Kan., to Everett and Marvel Maggard.
Mary graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1959. She later graduated from Bernell’s Beauty Academy.
Mary married Lester Burlington on April 15, 1963, in San Francisco. She worked as a beautician in Fort Collins, Craig and Baggs, Wyo.
Mary was very creative and enjoyed painting, stained glass, quilting, fishing and the colors of fall. She also loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Lester Burlington, of Kremmling; mother Marvel Maggard, of Fort Collins; son Kevin Burlington, of Las Vegas; daughters Kelly (John) Berry, of Yampa, and Kimberly Brazelton, of Craig; brother Don (Jean) Maggard, of Loveland; sisters Connie (Lynn) Witman, of Fort Collins, and Linda (Don) Sherrill, of Eaton; grandchildren Mara (Ty) Louthan, Leanna (Tim Gonzales), and Dennis and Tyler Brazelton; great-grandchildren Hac, Trey, Leland, Zane and Trinity.
Mary was preceded in death by her father, Everett Maggard, and brother Gary Maggard.
A memorial service took place Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Good Shepherd Church in Loveland.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lung Transplant Unit at University Hospital Colorado, in care of Viegut Funeral Home.
