Marty Kevin Ketchum 2010 - 1963
Marty Kevin Ketchum, of Canon City, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at the St. Thomas More Hospital in Canon City. He was 47.
Marty was born May 14, 1963, in Canon City, to Samuel L. and Sharon K. (Clifton) Ketchum.
Marty spent his childhood in Canon City, and moved to Craig in 1979, where he worked as a supervisor of coal handling for Tri-State Power Co. He volunteered for 10 years for Craig Fire/Rescue.
Marty moved back to Florence in 2000, and drove a truck for Emmond Lumber Co.
Marty loved his family, riding his Harley Davidson, hot rod cars and music. He was a member of MADD.
Marty is survived by his parents, Sam and Sharon Ketchum, of Craig; son Kevin Ketchum, of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; daughters Jessica (Jesse Lowe) Ketchum, Shannon Ketchum and Sunshine (Joshua) White, all of Craig; brothers Samuel A. “Spud” Ketchum, of Canon City; Patrick (Chris) Ketchum, of Casey, Iowa; Kent E.(Sharon) Ketchum, of Craig; and granddaughters Lilli, Ivy, Violette, Marlei, Maika and Ari.
A memorial service took place at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. John Turner officiating.
