Lorinda Huyck-Day
Loving mother of children Stephanie, Jason, Christopher and Nick, wife of Mel, and devoted companion to Gary Riley, Lorinda Ann Huyck-Day died June 17, 2010.
Lorinda was a devoted, loving parent and friend to many. She was a CNA and worked much of her adult life in the care of the ill, elderly and infirm.
Lorinda was born in Lompoc, Calif., and maintained a lifelong love affair with her hometown.
She is survived by her children; brother, Butch; sisters, Julie Hausman and Terri Ventimiglia; Grandma Martinez; and grandchildren.
Lorinda’s remains will be cremated and returned to Lompoc, Calif.
There will be a family and friends memorial gathering at 2p.m. at Loudy-Simpson Park on Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Food and drink will be available and those attending may bring a covered dish.
Lorinda’s soul is with the Creator, her suffering relieved and she is whole again.
