Brenda J. Coleman, 60, of Craig and Miami, Ariz., died Jan. 10, 2010.
She was born July 11, 1949, in Henrietta, Okla., the daughter of Gertrude H. (Epperson) and Loton O. Clark.
She was raised in Arizona and New Mexico. Blind from 8 years old, Brenda graduated from the Arizona School for the deaf and blind.
She married a minister, and she and her husband, Howard, were missionaries to Belize, Central America, and pastored churches in Arizona and New Mexico.
Brenda was a wonderful wife, homemaker and mother of two.
She taught herself to play the piano, accordion, keyboard, organ and violin, and sang and played in the church.
She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Brenda will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Howard A. Coleman, of Craig and Miami, Ariz., whom she married Nov. 26, 1969; daughter Bonnie L. Coleman, of Globe, Ariz.; son Philip (Dana) A. Coleman, of Rio Rancho, N.M.; mother Gertrude H. Rose, of Eufala, Okla.; sisters Dorothy (Floyd) Stidman, of Eufala, Okla., and Loretta (Willard) Wilson, of Buckeye, Ariz.; granddaughters Shayleigh Samantha, Shelby, and Zoee, of Globe, Ariz.; and grandsons Tyler and Tucker, of Rio Rancho, N.M.
A funeral service was Jan. 15, 2010, at Word of Life Assembly of God in Miami, Ariz. Interment took place at Globe Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements for Brenda were handled by Miles Funeral Services.
A memorial service will take place at 4 p.m. Sunday at Ridgeview Church of God in Craig.
