Donald Moore

Donald H. Moore was born Feb. 13, 1935, in Denver, to Frank and Anita Moore.
He was raised in Steamboat Springs until 1946, and then moved to Craig, where he finished school.
Don joined the Armed Forces and served in the Army from 1954 to 1956. He was stationed in Germany. Don received an honorable discharge at the end of his service.
Don went to work for the Colorado Department of Transportation in Maybell until 1962, and then moved to Walsenburg, where he lived until 1968.
In 1971, he went to work for NAPA Auto Parts until 1979, when he went to work for Colowyo Coal Co. He retired in 1995.
In January 1958, Don married Mary Jane Dobbins. They later adopted a son, David J. Moore, in 1965. Mary Jane died in 1967.
In 1972, Don married Darlene McMichael, and to this blessed union came a baby girl, Diane Dewin Moore, who was born in 1973.
Don was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister and two brothers. He is survived by his sister, Florence Perrin, of North Highlands, Calif.; wife Darlene Moore, of Craig; daughter Diane Moore, of Craig; and granddaughter Jordan Moore, of Craig.
Don Moore was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
