Grace Carver, 87, died Jan. 14, 2010, at Harmony Pointe under hospice care.
She was born Nov. 24, 1922, in Ord, Neb., to James and Connie Kesler McClement. She was a Navy veteran who served during World War II for the Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C.
She married Jodie Carver in 1945, and they resided in Craig to raise their children, James, Karen and Lance.
She was a loving mother and grandmother who served her Lord tirelessly and was noted for reading the entire Bible yearly.
In 1977, she moved to Golden, where she resided until her Savior called her home after a lengthy respiratory illness.
She was preceded in death by brothers Calvin, Vere and Bob McClement; sister Charlotte Holmes; and son, James.
Grace is survived by sister, Maxine Culp, of Florida; Jacque Carver, of Florida, Karen and Ron Vogeler, of Golden, and Lance and Lynne Carver, of New Jersey; grandchildren Veronica and Phil Hildebrand, Nita and Gene Algiene, Angie and Brian Knowlton, Jerry and Kaytee Vogeler, Shannon Connors, and Melanie Carver; and great-grandchildren Aspen and Reilly Hildebrand, Kenneth, Elizabeth, Michelle and Daniel Connors, and Jamey Algiene.
