Leonard LeRoy Glaze, of Wellington, passed away in his home surrounded by family Nov. 29, 2010. He was 67.
He was born Oct. 10, 1943, in Steamboat Springs to Glenn LeRoy and Marguerite Eva Marshall Glaze, who ranched south of Yampa. Leonard grew up loving horses and ranching.

He also helped his brother with a trailer manufacturing business in Cortez. Leonard also worked for a long time as a long-haul truck driver. Throughout all his jobs, Leonard kept up his horses and love of ranch life.
Leonard broke and trained horses all his life, and he shod horses until he was no longer able to do it. He learned the trade from Doc Marshall, his grandfather.
He loved the outdoors, camping in the Flat Tops Wilderness Area, riding broncs and bulls, team roping, hunting, fishing, spending and sharing everything with his family. His favorite hobby was horsehair braiding and making beautiful leather work items to share with friends and family.
