Sarah Nicole Fleming, 22, of Ennis, Mont., died from injuries she sustained in a car accident Aug. 14, 2010.
She was the daughter of David Allen and Joan Marie Zimmerschied Fleming of Craig. She was born April 17, 1988, in Craig. She was a 2006 graduate of Moffat County High School. She attended Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyo., on a rodeo scholarship, and graduated with an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development in 2009.
After college, she moved to Cody, Wyo., and continued to rodeo. Early this year, she and her fiancé, Louis Schardine, from Fairview, Utah, moved to Ennis, Mont., where Sarah was employed as a pre-school teacher, and continued to rodeo until the time of her death.
She is survived by her parents; brother Eric Taylor Fleming, who is currently attending Northwest College in Powell, Wyo., on a rodeo scholarship; fiancé, of Ennis; grandparents Jack and Sue Zimmerschied, of Moorcroft, Wyo., and Bill and Lucille Fleming, of Glenwood, Utah, and formerly of Green River, Wyo.; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Sarah was preceded in death by great-grandparents Joe and Callie Slattery, and Wilbur and Edna Zimmerschied, all of Moorcroft, Bill and Verna Fleming, of Rock Springs, Wyo., and Bill and Marie Allen, of Browns Park, Utah. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, at The Journey at the First Baptist Church, 1150 W. Ninth St., in Craig.
