Margaret Lindberg Norman Kier was born Nov. 11, 1929, in Denver to Victor and Grace Lindberg.
Her early childhood was spent living at the family sawmill and lumber camp.
Marge attended several schools in the Denver area and the Yampa Valley.
On Nov. 23, 1947, Marge married Bert Norman in Fairplay. The couple lived on several ranches in Moffat, Routt and Mesa counties as they started their family, and made Craig their permanent home.
Marge and Bert’s marriage lasted for 46 years, until Bert’s death in 1994.
On June 18, 2002, Marge married Jack Kier in Auburn, Wash., and they made their home in Grand Junction. Marge loved working in the yard and decorating her home, while Jack tended his garden and supplied friends and family with tomatoes.
Marge loved the Lord and her family without reservation. She always saw the good in people and never had an unkind word for or about anyone. She died Nov. 22, 2009, at her home in Grand Junction from complications following surgery.
Marge will be missed by her husband, Jack; children Karen (David) Knez, Adair (Melissa) Norman, Sandra (Ivan) Carns, Laura Yvonne (Steffen) Willems; stepchildren Wayne (Kathy) Kier, Don (Robin) Kier, Jacque (David) Ankenman, and Tim (Janet) Kier; grandchildren Eric (Jenny) Knez, Nicole (Dale) Musgrave, Jessie Wolf, Chloe Norman, Brittney (Rodney) Givens, Jolie Norman, Katlyn (Dan) Kemry, Brad (Natasha) Carns, Dani Willems, Justin Willems, Sarah Kier, Debi (Tim) Kabish, Jon (Jessica) Kier, Beka (Austin) Odman, Jacob (Vicki) Kier, Heidi (Stefon) Scheidler, Raven Spencer, Reed Spencer, and Tara Kier; great-grandchildren Jessica, Paul, Danielle, Brenna, Emma, Colton, Cody, Krischel, Natasha, RaeLyn, Brianna, Ellis, Lance, Dakota, Wade, Jackson, Monty, Asher, Luke, Ethan and Colby.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Bert, her parents, and a brother and son.
