Reba Y. Baxter Sheehan 1921 - 2009

Reba Y. Baxter Sheehan died Nov. 16, 2009, in her sleep at her Dixon, Wyo., ranch home. She was 88.
Funeral services were Nov. 19, 2009 at the Little Snake River Valley School in Baggs, Wyo.
Internment followed at the Reader Cemetery near Savery, Wyo.
Reba was the daughter of Frank and Elsie Baxter, of Slater. She was born Feb. 25, 1921, in Mount Harris.  Reba grew up on a ranch on Slater Creek. She graduated from Savery High School and then attended the University of Wyoming for two years. On Sept. 12, 1940, she was to married George Sheehan, of Dixon. Together, they had a livestock ranch operation between Dixon and Baggs. This is where they raised their family of eight children, and was her home at the time of her death. Reba enjoyed her family, all of the ranch animals and traveling, especially with the Heritage Club.
She is survived by seven of her children: Linda (John) Fleming, of Baggs, Wyo., Kathleen (Ray) Weber, of Baggs, Wyo., Frank Sheehan, of Gillette, Wyo., Pat (Judi) Sheehan and Shannon (Mike) Schardt, of Littleton, Marianne (Lawrence) Baysinger, of Gillette, Wyo., and J Douglas (Glynda) Sheehan, of Slater.
She also is survived by 22 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; son, Mike; parents, infant brother, grandson and an infant granddaughter. Memorials will be shared with the 4-H and FFA Youth activity programs, the Snake River Ambulance and LSRV Home Health Care, and may be sent to Reba Sheehan’s Memorial, in care of Grant Mortuary, 621 Yampa Ave., Craig, CO 81625.
