1986 - May 2, 2009
Riley M. Weber, 22, of Baggs, Wyo., died in an accident May 2, 2009. Riley was born Dec. 30, 1986, in Craig. He was the son of Clint and Cheri Weber, and brother to Zach Weber, of Baggs.
A funeral for Riley M. Weber will take place at 1 p.m. May 8, 2009. The service will be at Little Snake River Valley High School gymnasium with Pastor Paul Prestrud officiating.
Riley was a 2005 graduate of Little Snake River Valley High School in Baggs.
He worked with his parents at Little Snake River Processing and Taxidermy, primarily as a taxidermist. He was currently serving as the treasurer of the Wyoming Association of Taxidermy Artists.
Riley loved music and started playing drums at an early age. He played the drums in a local band - Down Home Country - and was learning to play guitar from his dear friend and band mate, Carson Shepard.
Like many of the Weber's, Riley was a risk taker, and tragically, that's what ended his young life, although he would not have had it any other way. Living life to the fullest is a Weber trait, and Riley enjoyed the outdoors, snowmobiling, wake boarding, snowboarding and camping with family and friends.
His family submitted the following:
"The clock of life is wound but once, and no man has the power to tell just when the hands will stop, at a late or early hour. : Now is the only time you own. Live, love, toil with a will. Place no faith in time. For the clock may soon be still."
Memorial donations may be sent to the Wyoming Association of Taxidermy Artists, P.O. Box 374, Baggs, Wyo., 82331, or the Carbon County Search and Rescue, P.O. Box 190, Rawlins, Wyo., 82301.
