Frances McPherson, of Austin, Colo., died Jan. 17, 2009, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. She was 67.

Frances Gallegos was born Oct. 18, 1941, to Joe P. "Shon" Gallegos and Estrella Arrellano in Amalia, N.M. She spent her childhood in Amalia and attended schools there. Frances resided in Rawlins, Wyo., before moving to Austin in 2001.
On May 11, 1964, Frances married the love of her life, Roger Ronald McPherson, at First Christian Church in Craig. To this union, four children were born. Frances and Roger celebrated more than 44 years of love and marriage.
Frances was a loving wife and mother. Among many interests, Frances enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She made a baby blanket for each of her grandchildren. Frances also enjoyed photography, fishing and camping, and collecting jewelry. Her family and friends said Frances should have opened her own jewelry store, because she knew everything there was to know about the variety of stones and how to make it into beautiful jewelry.
Frances attended the Delta First Assembly of God.
Frances is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Roger R. McPherson, of Austin; three sons, Roger A. McPherson II and his wife Elizabeth, Briar Scott McPherson, and Eric Wayne McPherson, all of Casper, Wyo.; one daughter, Regina Renae Woods and her husband Wayne, of Swartz Creek, Mich.; three brothers: Wilford Gallegos, Rudy Gallegos, of Rawlins, Wyo., and Johnathan Gallegos, of Littleton; and four sisters: Beatrice Sather, of Fort Collins, Isabel Dietrich, of Tampa, Fla., Jenny Groll and Georgianna Romero, both of Littleton; seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Estrella Gallegos.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
