Douglas Goodnow, of Craig and Huffines, Texas, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, in Texarkana, Texas.
Douglas was born May 13, 1943, in Mason City, Iowa, and was a Catholic by faith.
He retired from the western Area Power Administration in Golden.
He was a member of the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union and he enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, his friends and family. He was also an accomplished craftsman.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Louise Goodnow, of Huffines; one son, Wayne (Jackie) Goodnow, of Craig; one daughter, Tamara (Jim) Catlett, of Grand Junction; one stepson, Jeff (Trish) McCasland, of Atlanta, Texas; one stepdaughter, Kim (Dale) Miller, of Atlanta, Texas; two sisters, Jo (Rick) Larson, of Plankton, S.D., and Janice (Mike) Ragland, of Ada, Okla.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services were held Jan. 3 in Atlanta, Texas, and memorial services were held Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Grant Mortuary Chapel, in Craig, with Leonard Browning officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross in care of Grant Mortuary.
