Patrick James Cordova, 22, of Craig, died Dec. 27, 2008, in Craig.
Patrick was born Jan. 6, 1986, in Albuquerque, N.M., the son of Casey Ray and Tina (Franklin) Cordova. He was raised in New Mexico until moving to Craig in 1993.
Patrick attended school in Craig through the 11th grade. While in school, he participated in football and baseball.
Patrick worked as a coal miner and enjoyed snowboarding, camping and just being outdoors.
Patrick is survived by his son, Kaiden James, of Craig; his mother, Tina Birch, of Craig; his father, Casey Ray Cordova, of Belen, N.M.; his stepfather, Bill Birch, of Craig; his sisters, Ashley (Ari) Osborn, of Los Lunas, N.M., and Madison Birch, of Craig; his brother, Kenneth Cordova, of Craig; his grandparents, James and Shirley Franklin, of Belen; Casey and Ruth Cordova, of Belen; Wayne and Shirley Kindred, of Pueblo; and his fiancee, Shai McCurdy, of Craig. Patrick also is survived by numerous other relatives.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service was held Jan. 2 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
