Frances Eurie Craig, of Grand Junction, died Aug. 22, 2009, at the Hospice Care Center. She was 88.
Frances was born Dec. 14, 1920, at home in Juniper Springs, to Walter L. and Mary Matilda Solace Bohrer. She spent her childhood in Juniper Springs and graduated from Moffat County High School.
On March 8, 1939, Frances was married to Dave W. Craig in Vernal, Utah.
He died Jan. 13, 2006, in Grand Junction.
During her lifetime, she lived in Maybell, Riverton, Wyo., Grand Junction and Uravan. Frances was a member of Central Orchard Mesa Community Church in Palisade. She used to sing and play violin and mandolin. She enjoyed flower gardening and going to church. Frances was the assistant postmaster in Maybell and was a homemaker, loving wife and mother.
Survivors include three sons, Lewis Craig, of Whitewater; John Craig, of Clifton; and Jeff Craig, of Centennial; three daughters, Sandra Lampshire, of Grand Junction; Shirley Bauer, of Morrison; and Susan Cypher of Grand Junction; two brothers, Everett Bohrer, of Dinosaur, and Walter A. Bohrer, of Craig; sister Ina Jackson, of Craig; 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Greta Mae Foss, and son Ted Craig.
A funeral was Aug. 29, 2009, at Central Orchard Mesa Community Church with visitation beforehand.
Burial will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Craig Cemetery in Craig.
