Private family interment for David O'Neal, a 66-year-old Buffalo, Wyo., resident who died Friday morning at his home surrounded by family and friends, will be held in the Big Horn Mountains that David loved.
Donations in David's memory may be made to the Susie Bowling Lawrence Hospice in care of the Adams Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
David O'Neal was born Nov. 12, 1941, in Clarendon, Ark., to William and Mildred Parker O'Neal. He grew up in various parts of the country and graduated from high school in Pacific Beach, Calif. He joined the U.S. Marines in December 1958 and served in the U.S. until he received an honorable discharge.
After the service, he returned to the West where he learned the refrigeration trade. He moved to Buffalo in 2003 where he lived and worked until the time of his death.
David loved hiking and spending time in the mountains. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a devote Christian and spent and countless hours studying the Bible.
He is survived by niece, Debbie Bertram, and her husband, Bill, of Craig; nephew, Steven Tamlin, and wife, Cheryl, also of Craig, and his very close friends Nora, Jessie and John who were his constant companions.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Bonnie O'Neal.
