Glenda Louise Miller passed away unexpectedly Sept. 26, 2008, in Mississippi. She was 56.
Glenda has been transferred to Mississippi from Omaha, Neb., by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. She had worked for the Corps for 15 years, and was looking forward to moving back to Omaha to be with her children and grandchildren.
Glenda was born Feb. 2, 1952. Glenda attended Western State College, then worked at the Craig power plant. She later moved to Idaho Springs. In 1988, she moved to Omaha, where she worked for the Corps until the time of her death.
Glenda is survived by her children, Matthew Miller, of Omaha; Alice Hill and her husband, Wes, of Omaha; Lucas Schrade, of California; and her grandchildren, Andrew and Samantha Vavra. They were her pride and joy. She also is survived by her mother, Verna Miller, of Craig; sisters Ronda Thorne, of Fort Collins, and Joyce Hock, of Baltimore; brothers, Dan and Stirling Miller, and his wife, Bev, all of Craig; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Glenda was preceded in death by her father, Robert Miller; grandparents, Paul and Mattie Miller; grandparents, Otto and Francis Katt; and a niece, Kaitlin Miller.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial will be held at a later date in Omaha.
