Elton L. "Abe" Manos, 83, formerly of Craig, died at home Sept. 29, 2008.
Abe was born Sept. 23, 1925, to William and Ulale Manos.
He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers since 1971. He retired from Trapper Mine on Sept. 30, 1987.
Abe is survived by five daughters, Cheryl Duncan and husband Thurman, of Batesville, Ark., Susie Cramer and husband the Rev. Ernie Cramer, of Smithville, Mo., Nellie Rae Manos, of Independence, Mo., Vicki Walburn and husband Leonard, of Humansville, Mo., and Kathy Meppelink and husband Gerald, of Lathrop, Mo.; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clifford Manos, of Penryn, Calif., and Dale Manos of Fort Worth, Texas; and one sister, Joyce Luther, of Laverkin, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ulale Manos; his father, William Manos; and two sisters, Faye Parker and Grace Bryant.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at DeBeque Cemetery, with the Rev. Ernie Cramer officiating.
