Richard M. Nevins
Richard M. Nevins, 89, of Chadron, Neb., died Oct. 29 of natural causes at his home in Chadron. A burial service took place at 10 a.m. Monday at Hay Springs Cemetery in Chadron.
Richard was born Jan. 29, 1919, in Sidney, Mont. He was the son of Mae Devlin and William L. Nevins. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and worked as an airplane mechanic for the U.S. Air Force from Dec. 8, 1941, to Jan. 29, 1979.
Richard is survived by stepdaughter, Kathy (Mike) Darveau, of Craig; Valerie (Roger) Temple, of Chadron, Neb.; stepson, Eldon Booth, of Torrington, Wyo.; Aubrey and Susan Clapp, of Chadron; and Lyle (Lynnette) Clapp.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Velma Booth, his parents, two sisters and one stepson.
Memorial donations may be made to Chadron Home Health and Hospice.
