Matthew Lee Gill died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2008, at The Memorial Hospital in Craig following a brief illness.
He was born Nov. 15, 1984, in Montclair, Calif., the son of Mark and Lisa (Dishno) Gill. He was raised in California and Oregon before moving to Craig, where he attended Moffat County High School.
Matthew had a daughter, Kaley, who was born July 11, 2000.
He married Donna N. Boyle on July 22, 2006, in Craig. They become the parents of a son, Johnathon, on Feb. 18. Matthew enjoyed snowboarding, skateboarding, riding dirt bikes and BMX bikes and being around his family and friends.
Matthew was working as a laborer in construction in the Steamboat Springs area.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Gill, of Craig; son Johnathon Gill, of Craig; daughter Kaley Goldstein, of Craig; mother Lisa Gill, of Craig; stepfather Steve Haefner, of Craig; brother Dan (Sabrina) Gill, and their children, Nathan and Christina, of Craig; aunt Tammy Johnson, of Washington; mother-in-law Elaine (Robert) McDiffett, of Wamego; sisters-in-law Debbie Boyle, of Craig, and her daughter, Tiara Dorris Rollo, of Dumas, Texas, and her children, Ben and Sheldon, and cousin Tommy Barton, of Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnathon.
Memorial services were Feb. 29, 2008 at Grant Mortuary in Craig, with J.B. Chapman officiating.
