Patsy Vidrik

Patsy Vidrik, of Leadville, died Friday, June 6, 2008, in Craig.
She was born in Salt Lake City in 1927 to Elmer and Alice (Madigan) MacLennan. She moved to Leadville when she was 2 years old.
She married Frank Vidrik in 1949. Together they had two children.
She worked at Hallack's Ice Cream Parlor, J.C. Penney and as a telephone operator for Mountain Bell in Leadville.
Patsy went to St. Mary's Catholic School and was a lifelong member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Leadville. She belonged to Catholic Daughters and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister who loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, brother, sister, nieces and nephews.
Patsy also enjoyed writing letters to her many friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years; her parents; brothers John MacLennan and Jim MacLennan; sister Donna MacLennan; sisters-in-law Marge Kozlevchar and Frances Hren; and brother-in-law Andy O'Korn.
She is survived by her children: Frank (Kathy) Vidrik of Plano, Texas, Karla (Steve) Schaefer of Craig; grandchildren: Erin (Scott) Pobanz of Addison, Texas, and Brian Vidrik of Plano, Texas, Shannon (Scott) Kessler of Hillsboro, Ore., brother Kenny MacLennan of Leadville, sister Alice (Robert) Kern of Texarkana, Texas, sisters-in-law Emma Paustian and Ann MacLennan, both of Leadville; brother-in-law John Vidrik of Arvada, Sharlene Hren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Recitation of the rosary was Tuesday, June 10, and was read by Mary Ruth Nevins and Mass of Christain Burial was Wednesday, June 11, both at Annunciation Catolic Church. The Reverend Gus Stewart officiated.
Mrs. Vidrik was laid to rest in the Elk's Rest Cemetery. pallbearers were Jerry, Dean, Allen, Robert, James and Elmer MacLennan. Honorary Pallbearers were Dave Wilcoxson, Allan Hren, Bill MacLennan, Troy Kern and John O'Korn.
Following the committal service, the family received friends at the Elk's Lodge.
Arrangements were handled by Bailey Funeral Home.
