Donna Mae Kiesling died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction after a brief illness. She was 70.
Donna Mae (Johnson) Kiesling was born Feb. 19, 1938, in Carbondale to Donald M. and Margaret (Kissell) Johnson. Her family moved to Craig when Donna was 6 years old. She attended school in Craig and graduated from Moffat County High School in 1957.
Donna married Dean Kiesling on Sept. 14, 1982, in Craig. She worked as a custodian for the Moffat County School District for 33 years.
Donna enjoyed playing pool, knitting, sewing and visiting with her many friends. In her earlier years, she enjoyed playing the violin and clarinet.
She is survived by her daughters, Debora (Don) Hurley of Prescott, Ariz., Gaylene (Virgil) Thomas of Paulden, Ariz., and Teresa Holland of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; sons, Timothy (Kip) Johnson of Meridian, Idaho, and Robert (Sherry) Folck of Janesville, Wis.; 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; sisters, Pearl Gottfried of Craig, Doris Reed of Ely, Nev., and Lilly Johnson of Hamilton; and her many friends at the Popular Bar.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Don and Doug Johnson and her husband, Dean Kiesling, who died in 1997.
Cremation has taken place and at Donna's request, there will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association in care of Grant Mortuary.
