Rosalie L. DiBartolo, 86, of Craig, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at The Memorial Hospital in Craig.
Rosalie L. (Falletta) DiBartolo was born Oct. 27, 1921, in New York City to Anthony and Fortunata (Pollachio) Falletta. She was raised and attended school in New York.
Rosalie married Vincent J. DiBartolo on Aug. 17, 1940, in Staten Island, N.Y., and to this union four children were born. The family lived in New York, Ft. Lee, N.J., and Bergenfield, N.J., until moving to Farmington, N.M., in 1972. Rosalie moved to Craig in 2006 to be near her daughter Terry.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Farmington and its Legion of Mary. Mrs. DiBartolo enjoyed cooking and caring for other people.
She is survived by her daughter, Theresa (Rusty) Zimmerman of Craig; grandchildren, Lisa Ann (Terry) Stahr of Jamestown, Michael J. (Stephanie) Zimmerman of Craig, Christopher P. DiBartolo of Denver, Caroline (Bonifacio) Vallejos of Aztec, N.M.; great grandchildren, Ryan James, Alyssa Rose, Tucker James and Tanner James Zimmerman, Brody Nicholas, Kyle Alexander, Jack Connor Stahr and Isahiah and Isabella Vallejos; sister, Elvera (Rossi) DiBartolo of Farmington, N.M.; son-in-law, Robert Wilson of Farmington, N.M.; brother-in-law, Robert Wilson, of Farmington, N.M., and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent; daughters, Caroline and Rosalie, and son Fred.
The Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2008, at Cope Memorial Chapel, in Farmington, N.M. Mass of Christian Burial took place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Farmington, N.M.
Fr. Tim Farrow was the celebrant. Interment followed in Memory Gardens Cemetery next to her husband.
