Earl James Robacker
August 10, 1920 - December 24, 2007
Earl James Robacker died due to complications following a hospital procedure Dec. 24, 2007, at St. Anthony's Hospital (Central) in Denver. He was 87.
Earl was born Aug. 10, 1920, to Irvin James Robacker and Rose Robacker (Irey) in Craig. He graduated from Moffat County High School in 1938.
He married Ellen Louise Cushing on June 17, 1943, in San Diego.
Robacker severed in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the U.S.S. Dobbin. He later worked and retired from Yampa Valley Electric Association and the Craig Volunteer Fire Department.
He was the fire chief for nine years.
He was a member of Lions Club, Kiwanis, BPOE, and other local civic organization. He liked to travel, hunt, fish and camp.
Earl was preceded in death by his mother and father; and his daughter, Sally Conti of Golden.
He is survived by sister Helen Hoyt of Pensacola, Fla., and son, Ronald J. Robacker of Golden.
He will be buried in Grand Lake Cemetery.
