James L. Carver, Ph. D., 63, of Safety Harbor, Fla., and formerly of Rosedale, N.J., died Monday at his residence in Rosedale.
Born in Craig, Carver lived in Rosedale for 39 years before moving to Florida. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Carver was a registered nurse and worked at John F. Kennedy Hospital in Cherry Hill, Ancora State Hospital, Kessler Hospital and Meadowview Nursing Home, all in New Jersey.
He also formerly worked as a Colorado State Patrolman and was a member of the Riders of the Lamb motorcycle club.
Carver is survived by his wife, Jacqueline A. Carver (nee Wooton); daughters Melanie Ann Carver, of Safety Harbor, Fla., and Shannon Marie Connors, of Mount Airy, Md.; mother Eva Grace Carver, of Golden; sister Karen L. Vogeler, of Golden; brother Lance Craig Carver, of Browns Mill, N.J.; and four grandchildren: Kenneth James Connors, Elizabeth Mariah Connors, Michelle Leigh Connors and Daniel Jackson Connors.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Victory Bible Church, 816 S. Egg Harbor Road in Hammonton, N.J. Visitation with the family will be 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
