Edward E. Doolin died Nov. 22, 2008, at his home in Craig. He was 47.
Ed was born Feb. 6, 1961, in Hayden to Donald E. and Mary Grace (Hinkle) Doolin. Ed was raised and attended school in Hayden and graduated from high school in 1979.
Ed married Deneen Pourier in 1983, and together they became the parents of a daughter, Brandy. They later were divorced. Later on, Ed and Debbie Gardner became the parents of a son, Dakota.
Ed worked for Empire Energy and for Twentymile Coal Co. in various capacities, the last being a mechanic on the continuous mining machine. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf and walking his dog.
Ed is survived by his daughter, Brandy, of Craig; son Dakota, of Denver; grandson Michael, of Craig; mother Mary Grace, of Craig; brothers Jim and John, of Craig; and numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Doolin, and his sister, Debra Eads.
Funeral services were held Nov. 28 at Mission of Grace Baptist Church in Hayden, with Pastor Doug Zirkle officiating. Special musical selections were "Amazing Grace," by LeAnn Rimes, and "Go Rest High on the Mountain," by Vince Gill. Pallbearers were Nick, Travis, Casey, Jesse and Colton Doolin, and Jeremy Lueck. Honorary pallbearers were Eldon and Terrial Hinkle, Sam Montieth and Doug and Dave Doolin. Interment followed in the Hayden Cemetery.
