James C. Kline Hayden

James C. Kline of Hayden died July 31 at the University of Utah Hospital with his family at his side. He was 63.
Jim was born in Steamboat Springs to Ed (Junior) and Aldean Kline. He was raised at the family ranch on the lower Elk River. After graduating from Steamboat Springs High School, he attended Mesa State College in Grand Junction.
Jim was the owner and operator of Routt Sanitation until his retirement in 2002. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family doing anything outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping and boating. He was very fond of the holidays, encouraging large gatherings of family and friends.
Jim was married to Phyllis Moore from 1966 to 1979. They had three daughters together. Jim married Patty Lee in 1991, bringing her two daughters and one son into the family.
Jim is survived by his wife, Patty, and their children Jennifer Holmlund, husband Ryan and their two boys, Jarrod and Bruce Holmlund; Cynthia Flood and her son, Damon Trull; Katina Kline and John Mets; Charlotte Baker, husband Ryan and their two boys, Mason and Brea Baker; Nichole Hayes and Kody Smith, her daughter McKenna and son Hayden Hayes; Adam Lee, wife Nicky and their daughter, Zoelle and son, Jacob Lee; DreAnna and Dayton Dowling; his brother, Gary Kline; sister, Genita Perkins; aunt, Naomi Arnold; and nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Aldean Kline and son-in-laws Monty Velasquez and Cody Hayes.
A celebration of Jim's life is at 2 p.m. Aug. 22 at Hayden High School. Memorial donations may be made to the National Children's Diabetic Foundation in care of Mountain Valley Bank in Hayden. Friends can sign a guest book on the Web at www.grantmortuary.com.
