March 16, 1961 - July 30, 2008
Deborah Sherman-Hurst, 47, of Craig, died July 30, 2008, at home after a lengthy battle with breast cancer.
Deborah was born March 16, 1961, in Fort Collins to Dan and Darlene Sherman.
Deborah grew up a country girl, learning to live and love country life. Her greatest memories were of spending her youth on Ferndale Ranch, the ranch homesteaded by her grandparents. She loved being outdoors, whether it be riding her bike, tending to her trees and flowers, or watching the diverse wildlife. She couldn't spend enough time in Yellowstone.
She graduated from Moffat County High School in 1979, and then completed her dental hygiene degree at Colorado Northwestern Community College.
Deborah practiced dental hygiene in Craig for about 25 years and cherished the friendships she developed with patients.
On July 9, 1995, she married Timothy Hurst.
She adored her family and always was surrounded with true friends.
Deborah is survived by her husband, Tim; father, Dan and wife, Meddy; sister, Christina Welch and husband, Lester; brother, Josh; stepsister, Mickay; 10 nieces and nephews; two great-nieces; one great-nephew; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Steven; and mother, Darlene.
Memorial services were held Aug. 7 at First Christian Church of Craig.
