Theodocia LaMar Clark Richins was born May 13, 1924, at Altonah, Duchesne County, Utah. She died Sept. 12, 2007, in Craig.
She was the 10th of 16 children born to Justus Alvah Clark and Norah Evelyn Mecham. She attended school in Altonah, Vernal and Fort Duchesne. She completed school through the ninth grade and went through three months of the 10th grade.
She met Archie Edward Richins, and they married on June 26, 1941, in Vernal, Uintah, Utah. They were later sealed for time and eternity in the LDS Manti Utah Temple on April 1, 1952.
They had seven children: Jessie, Sherron, Bonnie, and then Susan was born on Jan. 23, 1949, but died three days later on Jan. 26. Then came James Edward on April 20, 1950. He died the next day. Later came Richard, and then Debra.
She is survived by five children: Jessie (Gary) Rowley, Sherron (Gary) Shepard, Bonnie (Chuck) Teters, Richard (Cindy) and Debra (Brad) Winder. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, two brothers - Ray and Lewis Clark - and two sisters - Mae Bell and Faye Ross - and many nieces and nephews.
LaMar was very active in the LDS Church and served in the Relief Society, Primary, Sunday School and Cub Scouts. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting and sewing. Every member of her family received at least one hand-made quilt and numerous crocheted doilies and embroidered scarves. Reading the Scriptures and church magazines was a very important part of her daily life.
She was preceded in death by her eternal companion on May 12, 1998, two babies, both parents and various brothers and sisters.
Interment will be in the Vernal, Utah, Cemetery.
