Noelle E. Osborn, of Nucla, Colo., passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at the Naturita Basin Clinic in Naturita, Colo. She was 89 years of age.
A visitation was held Sept. 21, 2007, at Grant Mortuary in Craig.
A funeral was held on Sept. 22, 2007, at Grant Mortuary, with Mervin Johnson officiating. Interment followed at the Craig Cemetery.
Noelle was born on May 13, 1918, to Alva Edward and Cora Ethel (Collom) Thompson in Eaton.
She spent her childhood in Meeker, Axial and Craig and graduated from Craig High School. Noelle was a homemaker.
On Nov. 12, 1945, Noelle married Kermit Ivan Osborn in Craig. He preceded her in death, on Dec. 18, 1998, in Eckert. The couple was blessed with two sons and one daughter and was privileged to celebrate their 54th wedding anniversary.
In 1978, the Osborns, who were cattle ranchers, moved from Hamilton to Cedaredge, where they remained until 1992, moving to Eckert, where she lived until 2002, then moving to Nucla for the rest of her life.
Noelle was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and the Moffat County Cow Bells. She loved her family and liked family history, playing the piano, fishing and living on the ranch.
Those grateful to have shared in Noelle's life include a son: Dale Osborn and his wife Becky of Nucla. She is further survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Noelle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kermit I. Osborn, her son Gary Keith Osborn and her daughter, Karen Lynn Osborn.
