Tina Cheri Benardis died Sept. 7, 2007, at Delta Memorial Hospital. She died peacefully after battling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS. She was 50 years old.
Tina was born Sept. 5, 1957, in Salt Lake City. She enjoyed cooking and antiquing, and spending time with her family and pets.
She especially enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. She possessed a great sense of humor and was always joking with people.
She had recently worked as a waitress and became friends and thought highly of her customers that she waited on regularly. She had worked as a foreman for Flaggers in Yellowstone National Park and had a business with her husband that did masonry work in Jackson, Wyo.
Tina was preceded in death by her faithful companion, Sadie, her Boston Terrier, who she loved dearly.
She is survived by her husband, John Benardis, of Grand Lake; children, Brian and Brittany, of Casper; father, William C. Pearson, of Eckert; mother, Margaret (Larry) Miller, of Manzanola; sisters Diana (Delbert) Knez, of Craig, and Rea Coleman, of Eckert; brother Justin (Deana) Stead, of Kentucky; niece Angela Poe; nephews Bill Poe, of Grand Junction, and Brad (Kelli) Poe, of Craig, J.J. (Jimima) Coleman, Jr., and Kane (Johnna) Coleman.
She also enjoyed and loved being with her great-nephews, Brayden and Kael Poe.
Cremation took place Sept. 10 in Delta.
Services will take place at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at Grant Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations to the MDA are appreciated for all the support the organization gave Tina when she was diagnosed with ALS.

A gathering will take place at the O.P. Bar-N-Grill, 534 E. Victory Way, following the funeral service.
