Terry Lee Whisner was born Feb. 9, 1953, in Salida, to Gordon and Phyllis Whisner, and moved to Craig in 1962.
Terry died Aug. 23, 2007, at age 54, from complications from diabetes.
Terry graduated from Moffat County High School in 1972.
He married Colleen Coty on July 5, 1974, and later had two children, Otto and Darby.
In 1986, Terry and his family moved to Mesa, Ariz., where they lived for several years.
Terry enjoyed riding dirt bikes and snowmobiles, camping, fishing, shooting bow and arrow, spending time in the Arizona deserts and the Colorado mountains, and spending time with cars.
He was an auto body technician, a trade he learned from his dad at a very young age.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Whisner, and all of his grandparents.
He is survived by his mother Phyllis Whisner, and Irin Johnson of Clifton, wife Colleen of Fruitvale, son Otto (Krista) Whisner, of Craig, daughter Darby (Robert) Whisner, of Mesa, Ariz., grandchildren Ashton and Ayson, brother Gary (Karen) Whisner of Aurora, sister Brenda (Dave) Lyons of Craig, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Terry had many friends and family members who will miss him dearly.
Friends and family gathered for a Celebration of Life Memorial on Aug. 26, 2007.
The family of Terry Whisner would like to thank everyone who attended the memorial, and for all of the meals, cards, thoughts and prayers during this time of sorrow.

Terry will be missed.
