Colleen Young Stilwell, the daughter of Sydney and Annette Young, died Aug. 28, 2007 in Salt Lake City after a long illness. She was surrounded by her family.
Colleen was born in Denver on Nov. 10, 1968. Colleen lived with her parents in Leadville, Cannon City, Colorado Springs and Craig.
She moved to Lehi, Utah, in 1987. She married David Stilwell on Aug. 11, 1990.
Colleen received her high school diploma from UVSC and was attending classes there. She was an accomplished piano player and enjoyed classical music.
Colleen is survived by her sons, Bryce Davis and Garrett; her parents, Sydney and Anettee; her brothers, John (Kim), David (Ronna), Edmund (Jana Lee) and Karl (Tracy), and a sister, Mariam Goodwin. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Paige Heidi.
Colleen loved her boys and their activities. She loved history and wanted to become a teacher. She was helpful with nieces, nephews and friends with their history projects. Colleen was well cared for through this long illness by many caring professionals.
The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Karnam and Dr. Legrand Belnap, the nurses at the LDS hospital and the Heritage Care Center.
Funeral services took place Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at the Wing Mortuary in Lehi, Utah. Interment was at Lehi Cemetery.
