Ina Taylor Rollins, a beloved mother, grandmother and friend, died Oct. 1, 2007, in Craig.
She was 87 years old.
Ina was born July 22, 1920, in Lapoint, Utah, to Roy Legrand and Ethel Elizabeth Swensen Taylor. She was the oldest of seven children and raised in Lapoint and Bridgeland, Utah. Ina graduated from Uintah High School. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Ina married Orson Hyde Rollins on Dec. 18, 1940, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. Soon after their marriage, they moved to Craig, where they resided for the remainder of their lives. They were blessed with eight children.
Ina loved her home and gave endless hours of service to her family and friends. She was a persevering person who never said no to a job or lending a listening ear to other individuals. She liked to cook, can fruits and vegetables, embroidery, quilt, read and, most of all, spend time with her family. Many individuals enjoyed a meal at her table as they exchanged a lively conversation filled with laughter.
Ina is survived by her children: two daughters, LaRae (Ron) Broomhead, of Riverton, Utah, and June (Steve) Smith, of Lindon, Utah; five sons, Harold (Sally) Rollins, Paul Rollins, and Lloyd (Julie) Rollins, all of Craig, Nyle (Merilyn) Rollins, of Kearns, Utah, and Bryant Rollins, of Colorado Springs; a sister, Carol (Ron) Liddell, of Roosevelt, Utah; three brothers, Glade Taylor, of Fruita, Max (Trudeane) Taylor, of Salt Lake City, and Ray (Dorothy) Taylor, of Strasburg; a sister-in-law, LaVon Taylor, of St. Augustine, Fla.; 24 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son Trent Rollins, sister Phyllis Cundiff, brother Howard Taylor and grandson Jared Broomhead.
Funeral services took place Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at Craig LDS Chapel. Interment took place at Craig Cemetery.
